Nascar Racing 2003 Season

Season Opener at Talladega !!!

Last night was the season opener for the Uneedapart.com SS Truck Series. We seen the best of the best show up for 66 laps at the Fastest Track around. After the drivers meeting and some small rain clouds showing up we got the race started about 1/2 hour later then normal. Mike Scott in the #46 Toyota truck started on the pole with Johnsonville SC own boy Lee Helmer on the outside. At the drop of the green the boys went all out like it was the last lap. As they went into turn 2, Pete Sindone in the Dirty South Silverado shot the middle and made it 3 wide all the way down the back shoot coming out to lead the 1st lap. We asked Sindone why he made that power move “to see what this new truck had for the field”. The race only seen 2 cautions for a total of 4 laps and that was for 2 blown motors. There was alot of lead changing during the race with 15 amoung 6 drivers. At the end we seen the # 1 Dirty South truck of Pete Sindone in Victory Lane. Sindone was Season 1 Truck Champion and we asked him whast new for this season. ” Well we built this new dirty south silverado in the off season and as you can see it didnt skip a beat ” I want to Thank Bud Boykin and John Forgione for there help pushing me to the win !! This Season i feel will be another Great one the drivers are top notch and anyone can win.. Well we will see everyone next week at Daytona for the 2nd race for the SS Trucks. !!!!

Taylor Dominates Jennerstown and Wrecks Savary For the Win!

Todd Taylor grabbed the  pole and the checkers as he led 78 of the 125 laps to win the White Gate Services Whelen Modified Tour race on Sunday Night. In the final stages of the race Savary had the lead and the yellow would fly with only 4 laps to go, this meant racing back. With a hard charging Windrow gaining on Taylor and Savary, Taylor felt the need to getty up and unfortunately this would be the end of Savary’s lead. Taylor slammed the back end of Savary and got him loose. Danny almost had the #21 machine saved until Windrow was trying to pass the #4 of Taylor low and Taylor finished Savary off. Savary made a spectacular save, he completed a 360 and continued on for 3rd. Following the race Savary was quoted saying ” That motha bleeper will get his when he least expects it!” Fire works are heating up once again, with only two races left in the season. Point leader Cori Bibbus had a rough night with some transmission problems but is able to hang on to the points lead but had it cut down to 16. Join us next week at Waterford Speedbowl for the next event in the White Gate Services Modified Tour!

ECT-LeeDogg Takes his 1st Win in Truck Series !!!

Last night the Bad Boys of ECT’s Truck Series went to the 2.66 miles Superspeedway at Talladega. The pole was taken in style by ECT-Quack with a blistering lap of 189.268mph. Quack seem to control most of the race leading 35 of the 65 lap race. The race seen a total of 3 cautions for only 8 laps.. With only a few caution laps that gave the drivers and crews to figure out what they were going to do to win the race. ECT-Leedogg played it smart waiting around a testing his truck out by going to the front and running there and then drifting to the back but still staying in striking distance. With a Caution flag thrown with a few to go ECT-Blaster along with ECT-Outlaw came from the back to the front and thinking they got the race figured out,BUTTTTTT they took to the outside and instead of going ahead they went back. This put Leedogg in the front with a few to go and with some pushing from ECT-Bobby Ambroceo kept the lead to the win.. Congrats to Leedogg !!! See you all Next week at Manasas Speedway ~~

Happy Easter from ECT !!!!
